Executive Summary

SafeSpace Smiles is a groundbreaking program designed to bridge the gap between mental health and dental care for college students. Our marketing plan emphasizes increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and enhancing accessibility of these services. Research has shown that while students value on-campus mental health resources, barriers such as stigma, scheduling conflicts, and accessibility prevent many from seeking help. Additionally, the prevalence of dental anxiety among students further highlights the need for our innovative approach to combining oral and mental health care. By leveraging social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, hosting an open house event, and having engaging panel discussions, SafeSpace Smiles aims to create a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel empowered to prioritize their overall well-being.
The marketing plan for SafeSpace Smiles also includes a focus on increasing accessibility and convenience for students. Recognizing the busy schedules and challenges students face, the program will prioritize flexible scheduling, online booking options, and a user-friendly website to ensure that mental and oral health services are easy to access. In addition, strategies such as leveraging student testimonials and promoting the program through targeted outreach will help build credibility and encourage engagement. This holistic approach is aimed at not only increasing awareness but also reducing the barriers that prevent students from seeking help, ultimately creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for their health needs.
